This fall, Georgetown University invited owners of rental properties in the areas near campus where students live to partner with the University in maintaining the high quality of life in these neighborhoods, and to publicly declare their commitment to this goal by signing a pledge. Learn More

Committed to Improving the Quality of Life in the Georgetown and Burlieth Neighborhoods

Georgetown University is investing in quality of life initiatives to benefit our students, our neighbors and our entire community. 

Since the start of the school year:

More than 210 tons of trash collected off neighborhood streets on twice-daily trash patrols, 7 days a week, in West Georgetown and Burleith.
More than 10,700

 students rode 

new M Street shuttle, connecting campus to M Street on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Seven MPD officers patrol neighborhood streets on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
